About Heryos Chad

Heryos Chad (a.k.a "The Chad Pastoralist" abbreviated as "TCP") is a project brought to you by Chad, historian and writer specialising in scholarly-level ancient history academia and Germanic Paganism.

Chad's formal education includes ancient history and modern history alongside politics and law, as well as macro and micro economics at university level in which he was awarded an academic merit scholarship. The historical time period focused on in his studies was the Late Roman Republic to the Lex Manilia (133-66 BC), as well as Pompey's Eastern Command to the first settlement of Augustus (66-27 BC). Chad's modern history studies included the key events of the Russian Revolution from 1896 to 1917 and the eventual collapse of the Soviet Union in 1990. He has devoted his research to the relationship between history, traditional European culture and religion, and its connection to the modern world. Outside of history, Chad devotes his time to the practice and development of Germanic Paganism and serves as the goði (Pagan priest) of Woden’s Grove - a Germanic Pagan hearth.
